Jenny Sites Subscription Terms (v1.0)
Effective date: 11 October 2026.
1. About us and these terms
1.1 Jenny Sites is a trading name of JobWow Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14909247, whose registered office is at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ ("we", "us", "our"). You can contact us at jenny@jennysites.com.
1.2 These terms apply when you subscribe to Jenny Sites ("you", "your"). By ticking the box at checkout, you agree to them for yourself and for the business you represent.
1.3 Jenny Sites is for businesses only. You confirm you are subscribing for the purposes of your trade, business or profession, and not as a consumer.
1.4 These terms, the Data Processing Agreement in Schedule 1, and your order at checkout are the whole agreement between us. If they conflict, Schedule 1 takes priority on data protection and these terms take priority on everything else.
1.5 You confirm that, in subscribing, you have not relied on any statement, promise or description that is not set out in these terms, including anything said on a sales call or in a message. Nothing in this clause limits liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.
2. The service
2.1 We will:
- build a website for your business from information you give us and publicly available information about your business;
- host your site and keep it online;
- register and manage a domain name for your site, or connect a domain you already own (section 7); and
- make reasonable small edits when you ask (section 4).
2.2 We may have shown you a preview of your site, hosted on a jennysites.com address, before you subscribed. After you subscribe, we will ask you to check your site. Within 7 days of our asking, you must tell us about anything that is inaccurate or that you want changed. After that, you are treated as having approved the content on it.
2.3 We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We aim to keep your site online at all times, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Maintenance, and outages at our hosting and infrastructure providers, can cause downtime.
2.4 We may change the templates, tools and providers we use, as long as the change does not materially reduce what you receive.
3. Price and payment
3.1 The subscription costs £19.99 a month or £199 a year, paid in advance by card through our payment provider, Stripe. Professional email on your domain is an optional add-on: one mailbox for £4.99 a month.
3.2 We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. If we register for VAT, we will tell you at least 30 days before VAT is added, and you may cancel before it applies.
3.3 Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year, and we will charge your card unless you cancel. For annual plans, we will email you at least 14 days before the renewal date.
3.4 We may change our prices by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before it applies.
3.5 If a payment fails, we will tell you and try again. If it is still unpaid 14 days after the due date, we may take your site offline until it is paid. If it is still unpaid 30 days after the due date, we may end your subscription under section 9.3, and your site will then be deleted under section 9.4. We will email you at least 7 days before that happens.
4. Edits
4.1 Your subscription includes reasonable small edits, such as changing text, photos, phone numbers, email addresses, opening hours, service areas or your list of services, and adding reviews you send us. You can request edits by WhatsApp or email.
4.2 Edits do not include redesigns, new pages, new features (such as online booking or payments), or a volume of changes that amounts to rebuilding the site. If a request falls outside what is included, we will tell you and, where we can, quote for it separately.
4.3 We aim to complete included edits within 3 working days of your request.
5. Your content and responsibilities
5.1 "Your Content" means your business name, logo, photos, text, reviews, qualifications and any other information you give us or approve for your site.
5.2 You are responsible for making sure everything on your site is accurate, lawful and up to date. This includes trade registrations and accreditations (for example NICEIC, Gas Safe or TrustMark), insurance, prices, reviews and testimonials, and the areas you cover. It applies to content we drafted for you once you have approved it under section 2.2. Tell us promptly when anything changes.
5.3 You confirm that you own Your Content or have permission to use it, that it does not infringe anyone else's rights, and that any reviews or testimonials are genuine. Where you send us customer reviews or testimonials, you confirm each author has agreed to it appearing on your site, and you will keep a record of that agreement.
5.4 We may refuse to publish, or remove, content we reasonably believe is unlawful, misleading, defamatory or infringes someone else's rights. We will tell you when we do. If the problem is serious or keeps happening, we may take your site offline until it is resolved.
5.5 You are responsible for how you deal with the enquiries and customers your site brings in, including the terms you agree with your own customers. We are not a party to those arrangements.
6. Ownership and licences
6.1 You keep ownership of Your Content. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, copy, adapt and publish Your Content only to provide the service, for as long as your subscription lasts and until we delete it under section 9.4.
6.2 We own the templates, designs, code and software we use, and the site we build for you, apart from Your Content. While your subscription is active, you may use the site for your business. Some images on your site may be stock photos from Pexels (pexels.com). They are used under the Pexels licence, not licensed by us. If you want to use them anywhere other than your site, check the Pexels licence first; at the time of writing it does not allow their use in a logo, business name or trade mark. We are not responsible for how you use them outside your site.
6.3 Your site's footer includes a "Website by Jenny Sites" credit linking to our website. It cannot be removed while your subscription is active. We will only feature your site in our own marketing if you agree.
7. Domain names
7.1 A domain name is included in your subscription at no extra cost. Unless you bring your own domain, we register one for your site in the name of JobWow Ltd when you ask us to put your site live, and pay its renewal fees while you subscribe. That domain belongs to us.
7.2 If you already own a domain, you keep it. You point it at our hosting and remain responsible for renewing it.
7.3 When your subscription ends, you may have the domain we registered for your site transferred to you, for a one-off admin fee of £50 to cover the transfer work, as long as you ask within 30 days of the end date. Once paid, we will transfer it to you or your chosen registrar. If you do not ask for a transfer within 30 days, we may let the domain lapse, and we will not use a domain containing your business name for any other business.
7.4 Any email accounts we provide on your domain stop working as soon as your subscription or the email add-on ends, and we stop accepting new email sent to them. We keep their contents for 90 days so you can recover them, and will export them for you free of charge on request during that time. We will email you when access ends and again about 14 days before deletion. After 90 days we delete them permanently.
7.5 You must not use a mailbox we provide to send spam, bulk or unsolicited marketing, or anything unlawful, harmful or misleading. If you do, or if our email provider reports a problem with your mailbox, we may suspend the mailbox straight away and will tell you why. Suspending the mailbox does not reduce the fees you owe.
8. Data protection
8.1 We each comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
8.2 When your site collects personal data from your customers, for example through an enquiry form, you are the controller and we are your processor. The Data Processing Agreement in Schedule 1 applies.
8.3 We use your own personal data as described in our privacy policy at jennysites.com/privacy.
8.4 We send you service messages about your account and site by WhatsApp and email. We send marketing messages only where you have agreed or the law otherwise allows. You can opt out of marketing at any time by replying STOP or emailing us; this does not affect your subscription.
8.5 We may use AI tools to draft and check our replies to messages you send us. No decision with legal or similarly significant effect on you is made by automated means alone.
9. Cancellation and ending the subscription
9.1 You can cancel at any time by emailing jenny@jennysites.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month or year, and your site stays live until then. We do not refund any part of a paid period, including annual plans.
9.2 We may end your subscription by giving you 30 days' notice by email. If we do this when you are not in breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.
9.3 We may suspend or end your subscription immediately by written notice if:
- a payment is still unpaid 30 days after its due date;
- you materially breach these terms and, if the breach can be fixed, do not fix it within 14 days of our asking;
- you ask us to keep content on your site that we reasonably believe is unlawful; or
- you become insolvent or stop trading.
9.4 When your subscription ends:
- your site is taken offline and deleted straight away, and we do not provide a copy of the site files;
- we delete Your Content from our systems within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as billing records;
- the domain is dealt with under section 7.3; and
- email accounts are dealt with under section 7.4.
9.5 Sections 3 (for unpaid fees), 7.3, 7.4, 9.4, 10, 11, 14 and 15 continue after your subscription ends.
10. Our liability
10.1 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
10.2 Subject to section 10.1, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill or anticipated savings, loss of enquiries or leads, or any indirect or consequential loss.
10.3 Subject to section 10.1, our total liability to you arising under or in connection with these terms, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and £250.
10.4 We are not responsible for content you supplied or approved, or for your dealings with your customers.
10.5 Apart from the commitments in these terms, including to use reasonable care and skill, we give no other warranties about the service, to the extent the law allows.
11. Your indemnity
11.1 You will compensate us for reasonable losses and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from a claim by someone else that Your Content infringes their rights or is unlawful or misleading.
11.2 We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it without consulting you.
12. Events outside our control
12.1 Neither of us is liable for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as failures of internet or power infrastructure, or of a third-party provider we rely on. The affected party will tell the other and take reasonable steps to limit the effect.
13. Changes to these terms
13.1 We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that materially affects you. If you do not accept it, you may cancel before it takes effect, and we will refund the unused part of any annual plan.
13.2 We may make minor changes, such as corrections or changes required by law, by publishing updated terms on our website.
14. General
14.1 Notices under these terms are sent by email: by us to the address you gave at checkout, and by you to jenny@jennysites.com.
14.2 We may transfer this agreement to a business that takes over Jenny Sites, and will tell you if we do. You may not transfer it without our written consent.
14.3 We use third-party providers to deliver the service, including for hosting, payments and messaging. We remain responsible for the service under these terms.
14.4 Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship.
14.5 No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
14.6 If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it.
15. Law and disputes
15.1 If you have a complaint, contact us first. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
15.2 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Schedule 1: Data Processing Agreement
This schedule is the processor contract UK GDPR Article 28 requires. It covers personal data your site collects from your customers. It does not cover data about you, which our privacy policy covers.
1. Details of the processing
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Subject matter | Hosting your website; storing and forwarding enquiries submitted through it; and, if you take the email add-on, hosting your mailbox |
| Duration | The life of your subscription, plus the deletion periods in paragraph 8 |
| Nature and purpose | Saving each enquiry, emailing it to you so you can respond, keeping a delivery record, and protecting the form from abuse. For the email add-on, storing your mailbox |
| Personal data | Enquiries: name, email address, phone number, message, and the page it was sent from. Delivery records: where and when each enquiry was emailed, and any sending error. A one-way scrambled (hashed) form of the sender's internet address, used only to block form abuse. Email add-on: the contents of your mailbox |
| Data subjects | Your customers and prospective customers who contact you through your site, and anyone who emails your mailbox |
| Retention on our systems | Enquiries and delivery records: 90 days after receipt, then deleted automatically. Mailbox contents: 90 days after the add-on ends (clause 7.4 of the terms) |
2. Your instructions
2.1 We process the personal data only on your documented instructions, which are these terms and the way you set up your site, unless the law requires otherwise. If the law requires otherwise, we will tell you first unless the law prevents it.
2.2 We will tell you if we believe an instruction breaks data protection law.
3. Confidentiality
3.1 Anyone we authorise to process the personal data is bound by a duty of confidentiality.
4. Security
4.1 We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data, as Article 32 requires. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS); server access limited to our director; two-factor authentication on all our hosting and email provider accounts; full-disk encryption on the computers we use to run the service; backups kept in the same London data centre as the server; and using copies with personal details removed when we investigate technical problems.
5. Sub-processors
5.1 You authorise us to use the sub-processors below. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before adding or replacing one. You may object on reasonable data protection grounds, and if we cannot resolve the objection you may cancel and receive a refund of the unused part of any prepaid period.
5.2 We impose the same data protection obligations on each sub-processor and remain responsible to you for their work.
| Sub-processor | What it does | Location |
|---|---|---|
| DigitalOcean | Hosts our server and stores enquiries | London data centre (LON1). US company (DigitalOcean, LLC). Transfer covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with the UK Addendum in its DPA as fallback |
| Resend | Emails each enquiry to you, using Amazon's email service | US company (Plus Five Five, Inc.). Sends from Ireland, but its main processing is in the US. Transfer covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the UK Addendum in its DPA |
| Migadu | Hosts your mailbox, only if you take the email add-on | Swiss company; servers in France |
| Anthropic (Anthropic PBC) | Technical support and maintenance: if a fault can't be reproduced on data with personal details removed, our developer tool Claude Code may read stored enquiries | US. Used only under Anthropic's Commercial Terms, which include its data processing addendum. UK transfers are covered by the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses |
| Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) | Protects and carries the connection to our admin dashboard, where we view stored enquiries (it controls who can log in and passes the page through its network). It also provides our DNS and registers the domain names we hold | US company; global network. Transfer covered by the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, with the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses in its DPA as fallback |
5.3 Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure an approved safeguard applies, such as UK adequacy regulations, the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Helping you
6.1 We will help you, taking into account the nature of the processing, to respond to requests from people exercising their data protection rights. If we receive a request directly, we will pass it to you without undue delay.
6.2 We will give you reasonable help with your security, breach notification, impact assessment and consultation obligations under Articles 32 to 36.
7. Personal data breaches
7.1 We will tell you without undue delay after becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your customers' data, and will aim to do so within 48 hours. We will give you the information you reasonably need to meet your own reporting duties.
8. End of processing
8.1 When your subscription ends, we delete stored enquiries and delivery records within 30 days, and mailbox contents after the 90-day period in clause 7.4 of the terms, unless the law requires us to keep them. Before the end date you may ask us for a copy of any enquiries we still hold.
8.2 Deleted data can remain in our server backups for up to 7 days, until those backups are automatically replaced. Backups are kept only with our hosting provider in London, never on local devices.
9. Audit
9.1 We will make available the information reasonably needed to show we comply with this schedule. We will allow audits on at least 30 days' notice, no more than once a year and at your cost, unless a breach or regulator requires otherwise.
